Beautiful and original Art Deco wall sconce. Usually found in pairs, but we, unfortunately have only the single. Made of cast aluminium and manufactured by the Virden Company in the 1930s-40s. On the back is stamped Virden B-118-9 - from the “Ashbury Series” by John C. Virden, Circa 1935. The glass shade is a nice cream colour. Requires Standard Base Bulb - 60W max. (NOT INCLUDED). We highly recommend LED bulbs as they give off less heat and are energy efficient. It has rotary switch to turn it off/on - if you leave it in the "on" position it can be operated with a wall switch. All mounting hardware is included. This will definitely add nice antique ambience to your room. The last pic is from a 1940's Virden catalogue showing the other lights that matched this one.
- 10.5" high - 6" wide (at the widest point
- protrudes from the wall 3.75"
- CONDITION: as is expected with lights of this age there are some small fleabites and paint loss on the edge of the shade - but does not effect the overall beauty or operation of this light - the cast aluminium has lovely patina.
This light is subject to availability, as it is being sold on other venues.
